Lisa and Richard Perry’s Art-Filled Manhattan Penthouse Asks $45M

A penthouse co-op that could easily double as a modern art museum hit the market in New York City for $45 million.

Known to interior design fans as the Perry Apartment, the 12-room unit on New York’s Upper East Side was listed by Allison B. Koffman and Juliette R. Janssens of Sotheby’s International Realty. Fashion designer Lisa Perry and her hedge-fund billionaire husband Richard C. Perry redesigned the space to showcase their extensive collection of contemporary art.

As the top unit of the 1927 Sutton Place building, the penthouse spans 6,600 square feet and has all-white interiors full of bright paintings, unique art pieces and custom sculptures.

The most striking piece is a 3D painting in the living room — placed between two windows, the bright image of a cartoon interior creates an illusory effect with the real-life views of New York on each side.

Other show-stopping spaces include the

Qatar authorities charge woman for allegedly dumping baby in airport bathroom

Authorities in Qatar say they have identified a woman who allegedly dumped her newborn baby in a bathroom bin at Doha Airport, which sparked the “disturbing” strip search of Australian travellers.

Prosecutors said the woman was an “Asian national” and “convict” who allegedly left Qatar after her newborn baby was found at the airport last month.

She has been charged with attempted murder, however authorities are still in the process of arresting her, according to the ABC.

The newborn girl was found alive and taken into medical care in Doha, authorities said.

Police said DNA testing had also identified the child’s father but he has not been charged.

The mother allegedly texted him to say she was abandoning the baby before she left the country.

Sex and childbirth outside marriage is illegal in Qatar, as in much of the Middle East.

The discovery of the child at Doha’s Hamad International

The house in question, or what’s left of it, can be found underneath the Sisters of Nazareth convent in central Nazareth, Israel. It’s near the famous Church of the Annunciation, the spot where many Christians believe the angel Gabriel informed Mary that she would have a child.

The building has been dated to the first century AD and, according to Professor Dark,

Boris Johnson on Monday confirmed that under every tier of new restrictions, workers in England who can work from home should continue to do so. The rules under the new three-tier system will last until at least the end of March if voted through by parliament.

The government’s 64-page Covid-19 winter plan suggested working from home was one of the three key areas highlighted by the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage). The other policies apparently suggested by Sage included closing pubs that do not serve food in tier 2 areas and closing all hospitality venues in
