Manuel D. “Manny” Medina, a tech entrepreneur who sold Miami-based Terremark Worldwide, his IT infrastructure and cloud services company, to Verizon Communications for $1.4 billion in 2011, has listed his 8,242-square-foot condominium on tony Fisher Island for $19.5 million.

Fisher Island, located off the tip of Miami Beach, is only accessible by ferry, private boat or helicopter and is home to the nation’s wealthiest ZIP code, 33109, where residents had an average income in 2018 of $2.2 million, according to Bloomberg’s annual ranking of the richest ZIP codes in the United States.

The condominium, at 7213 Fisher Island Drive in Miami Beach, is a ground-floor unit in a nine-story building. It has five bedrooms, six baths, white oak and limestone floors, a custom kitchen, a Crestron smart-home system, a custom eco-friendly fireplace, a 1,500-bottle wine cellar and 4,221 square feet of outdoor terrace space. The listing price includes furnishings by designers Holly Hunt and Christian Liaigre.

Built in 1992, but recently renovated and customized, the unit has views of the ocean, Government Cut and Miami Beach.

“It’s one of the nicest units on the island,” said Cyril Matz, a director of luxury sales for Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Miami, who holds the listing. “You could walk right out of the unit, and a private beach is just steps away. You don’t have to deal with an elevator, but you still have beautiful direct ocean views.”

Fisher Island, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, is a 216-acre private community. The private membership Fisher Island Club includes a beach club, luxury hotel, championship golf course, 17 tennis courts, two deep-water marinas, multiple dining venues, a full-service spa, salon, fitness center, theater and aviary. The island is also home to the Fisher Island Day School. A one-time $250,000 fee is required for equity membership.
